Eventus is a specialist in high-throughput, multi-asset trade surveillance. Validus runs 150+ configurable procedures across equities, options, futures, FX, fixed income, digital assets and prediction markets, for clients including Cboe, Coinbase, Binance, Marex and Instinet. Frank AI turns natural-language questions into code that runs on the client's own data, and Eventus won four prediction-market venues in 2026 alongside a run of industry awards.

Ownership and leadership have changed in a short period. Terminus Capital Partners took a majority stake in February 2026; the founder-CEO was replaced in May and the CTO and Chief Customer Officer in June, by executives mostly from outside surveillance. Headcount is about 105 and flat. There is no native communications surveillance or archive, no published evaluation, no ISO 27001, and SSO is not documented.

We initiate at 6.00, Emerging, with a Stable outlook. Workflow Fit (7.17) and Enterprise Readiness (6.29), helped by on-premises deployment, are strengths; AI & Technology (5.17) and Data & Content (5.83) are weaker — the latter reflecting a segment variant weighted toward communications, which a trade-surveillance specialist does not offer.

Strengths

  • Asset-class breadth. Equities, options, futures, FX, fixed income, digital assets and prediction markets.
  • Procedure library. 150+ configurable procedures covering spoofing, layering, wash trading, insider dealing and momentum ignition.
  • Throughput. Bursts of 150,000+ messages a second and over four billion messages a day per client (company).
  • Crypto and prediction markets. Coinbase, Binance, Gemini and Deribit, and four prediction-market venues in 2026.
  • Deployment choice. On-premises, cloud or hybrid; Frank keeps client data in the client's environment.
  • Recognition. Industry awards for trade surveillance and AI in 2026.

Cautions

  • Leadership change. New majority owner (February 2026) and replacement of the CEO, CTO and Chief Customer Officer within weeks.
  • Scope. No native communications surveillance (partner only) and no archive.
  • Model dependency. Frank uses third-party models; data stays local but queries are sent out.
  • Evidence. Alert-reduction figures are vendor-reported (85% and 90% in different places).
  • Assurance. SOC 2 Type 2 announced in 2023; current report not located; no ISO 27001; SSO not documented.
  • Reporting. Regulatory filing such as CAT or STORs not evidenced.
  • Scale. About 105 staff, down from 133 in 2023.
