Where institutional AI meets investment intelligence
The Generative AI in Investment Institute is a dedicated forum for the practitioners building the AI-native investment stack — investors, researchers, founders, and academics moving generative AI from pilot to production.
A dedicated forum for practitioners building the AI-native investment stack
AI in investing has crossed a threshold. The questions have moved on, from ChatGPT to agents, from pilot to production. Our mission is to advance responsible AI adoption across the investment industry, helping professionals move from experimentation to production, setting transparent standards for how AI tools are evaluated, and building a practitioner community that learns from each other as well as leading voices.
“The questions have moved on — from ChatGPT to agents, from pilot to production.
GAII exists to ask the next question first.“
— GAII Institute, 2026
Four pillars of the institute
Education, content, benchmarking, events and member perks, built around one goal: helping investment professionals adopt AI that works.
Education
Practical courses for investment professionals, from getting started with Claude to an introduction to institutional-grade AI platforms and building your own AI research agents. We offer free and premium courses as well as custom programs built for individual firms and teams.
Content & Community
Our newsletter, founder interviews, product spotlights, and case studies, plus a members’ community built around contribution, where sharing a workflow or evaluating a tool earns access.
Benchmarking and Market Intelligence
Benchmarking and market-intelligence services that help investment decision-makers evaluate solutions with confidence, whether they’re choosing an AI tool, assessing an AI business, or reviewing their own AI strategy.
Events & Member Perks
Our annual GAIIM conference, plus free and member-only online and in-person events throughout the year, along with exclusive perks like trials of leading AI investing solutions, so members can discover, evaluate, and adopt what actually helps.
How we got here
From a single conference at Columbia to a year-round platform for the investment AI community — here’s how the GAII Institute came to be and where it’s headed.
GAIIM 2025 at Columbia University
Our first Generative AI in Investing conference drew 160+ practitioners to Columbia’s Alfred Lerner Hall — CIOs, CTOs, fund managers, and founders in one room.
GAII Institute Platform Launch
The second GAIIM (September 29–30) moves to a two-day hybrid format, and the Institute expands beyond the conference into year-round education, community, and the open benchmark.
The Frontier
A living benchmark, a growing course library, and an ecosystem of AI partners — building the transparent standard for AI in investing.
Who’s behind GAII
GAII Institute is led by Ehsan Ehsani, an investor and adjunct professor at Columbia Business School, and supported by an advisory community of CIOs, CTOs, and fund managers at the frontier of AI adoption.
Building the standard for AI in investing
Led by practitioners and academics deeply embedded in both institutional investing and AI research.
Supported by an advisory community shaping the AI-native investment stack from the inside.
